I'm sure this thread have already been started somewhere but i'm wondering where the line end when we're talking about engine modification and body (strut bar etc).
If i'm adding an AFE intake etc, will this void my warranty?
Thanks for your infos.

Notice his location?
In Canada, we have NO such act. Only small-claims court.
Generally, I'd avoid it. Should anything happen to your engine or such, your dealer will likely claim that your aftermarket intake is the culprit for allowing dirt in, either during use, or during installation. You're then stuck paying the bill, and chasing them through small-claims.

hmmm, I need to start looking at the left side more. hahahahaha.
But man, that sucks. I also heard that you guys have to keep the stock exhaust tip if you modify the exhaust system????

100000 km.
Or, you could always switch back to whatever to stock before taking it into the dealership. They actually do that in Japan (but mostly based on the strict emission laws.)

The same here everything have to be put back into stock before visiting the dealership.
Just want to ask do I have to dismantle the throttle controller before dealership visit ? or i is enough to just hide it somehow ?
thanks

I guess TRD parts shouldn't affect the warranty since its toyota parts. I'm i right?
as long as they are installed by toyota techs then you are right. at least that is how it works in the usa.

install the intake
if you ever have a problem w/ your engine, take the 10min to swap it to stock before taking in your car.
warranty will only be voided if they can prove that the cause of whatever problem was due to a modification you've done.
