View Full Version : 15x7 +0 offset?
Wondering how a 15x7 +0 offset will fit. I know it's aggressive but is anyone running this size/offset?

Keep the Kosei's! They are by far the best wheels you've had on your car. Getting rid of them just to get these wheels is not a good idea. Your just gonna get rid of them like the other wheels. Keep the Kosei's!

Here's a local guy who just posted his disappointing 15x7.5 +0 offset. You can be the judge.

Those are 1/2" wider as well.
I went ahead and bought them. Only $50 for all 4, still in original boxes. We'll see. :headbang:

^^ Like he saids the green set is about an inch wider also that car is like at mad monster truck ride height , totally wrong tire size , and has no negitive camber. Now i'd say like a 185/45 tire , slammed on coilovers and about -2.5front and -3 + degrees out back and you'd be stylin' with those rims

Don't know if there is a 185/45 but there are 175/50 and 195/45.
33OH - you always find some crazy prices on rims, just like your Koseis!
Here's a few pics I've found of 15x7 0 offset on a Yaris. Definitely looks do-able. I'm thinking a 195/50 may work well, I have a few laying around and will try them first.

Thanks for the suggestions yarisugi - I know you know your stuff.
And yes - my very crazy habit of driving hundreds and hundreds of miles for deals (these were 400 miles away) has a tendency to land me some pretty nice stuff.

Not the same size, but very close if calculated - 15x7.5 +13mm. equivalent to 15x7 +0mm. You can see the slight poke.

no camber. Lookin' at your rims, it looks really deep - almost negative offset...?
Not sure. Let me actually say they may not even be 0 offset. It isn't stamped on the rim and the boxes don't have it listed. Trying to read online how to calculate offsets.
The only thing that is a little comforting about them is they were on a Ford Escort before this.
Not sure if it's right but I followed the instructions online and it's coming up as a -44.5 offset, lol.
Yep, it's right. 15x7 -44.5, hah.

to get offset you need to measure backspacing and forward spacing. subtract the forward spacing from the backspacing to determine how far off "center" the hub is. then convert that into MM.
remember, a 7" wheel is closer to 8" wide.

Have you even put them on your car yet? That should give you an idea on how they will look. After looking at the back spacing, I think these wheels will be in the for sale section really soon. It's just too bad you drove 400
(One way or round trip?) miles and paid $50 for wheels that may not fit. Good Luck!

Backspacing - 2"
Forward spacing - 5 1/4"
Subtracted: -3.25"
Converted: -82.55mm?
And yes - it is exactly 8" wide.

A 7" wheel with a 2" backspace has ET-48mm. I see craigslist in your future.
Yep, already on there. Still a nice money-making buy, not too concerned. Think I'll be able to get more than $50 bucks out of them. :)

if the wheel is 8" wide, how are you not getting a back and forward spacing total of 8" ?
recheck your maths sir
also, are you SURE they're 4X100 and not 4X108?
They're 4x100, I put them on my car. And the hub mounting surface is 3/4" wide, which is why my math comes up a little short.

step 1: measure the full width of the rim in millimeters, end to end.
step 2: divide that by 2, that will give you the +0 (ex: width of rim 204mm. 1/2 = 102mm)
step 3: measure back side of rim from mounting point of rim to edge of rim.
step 4: subtract step 3 from step 2. That will be your offset - in your case it will be negative most likely.
203mm
/ 2 = 101.5mm
50.8mm
-50.7mm
yarisugi
10-04-2010, 11:52 AM
50.7 is your +0 offset. That's if the mounting face was exactly dead-center of the rim. But I think on your wheel the mounting face is set back a bit from center right? -Like the pic on the right.

Yep, it's 2" away from the rear of the rim. Way set back.

2 inches away huh? That equals to about 50mm. 50-50= 0. I guess you were right in the first place, +0 offset it is!
edit: should be 101.5-50.8. I need to go back to school.

Too bad there wasn't any rubber on those. You'd be crowned Craziest Poke Yet.
Those the ones you say were previously on an Escort? That car either looked ridiculous, had a wide body kit, or an Escort has some seriously tucked hubs.
I think this would be a pretty accurate Photoshop, lol.
Yes, on an Escort. It must have had some crazy poke and looked ridiculous.

lol, nothing wrong with it (when I said worse, I was just referring to Ryan's poking more). hahaha
I would have gotten those Sportmax's, but I would have needed MAJOR fender pulling, and I didn't want to fcuk up my fenders. hahahaha. Plus, 18's look too big for some reason. Now, those in 17x8 or 9 (what ever is offered in 4 lug) with some 195 conti's or 205 Falkens, mmmmmm, mmmmm, good!
