To all NW Yaris owners:

Next year IASCA will be holding a sound quality and sound pressure level competition either in the Seattle or Portland area. It is part of a countrywide press by manufacturers and the sound organization.

This will give everyone a chance to see how good their systems are, how well the system is put together, and to see other systems in similar and other platforms. You're going to have the ability to discuss your system issues, problems, and needs with an industry professional.

It won't matter if you live close, it'll be better actually that you don't. You can get a judges or installer's impartial opinion on what is happening with your system...you can even roadmap what you really want to do.

I'll be trying to wrangle some equipment and swag to give away at the show. I'm also thinking about some grilled goodness as well if the show is in my area.

Keep your eyes open for more information coming over the next few months.

Updates on this to come soon. I'm in discussions with several manufacturer's reps currently. I expect some solid news in November for you...

I lied, it's December!

Here's what we have going on:

Streamline Audio will host a double point IASCA soundoff in May, 2011. The exact date should be nailed down to one of the Sundays in May. There will be a full soundoff to include SQ and SPL events. We are expecting three world championship SQ vehicles as well as some great ground pounder street SPL vehicles...one of them sits 20 feet behind me as I type this.

We're going to run SQc, SQi, and iDBL classes. Trophies, plaques, and participation certificates will be handed out. I am working on the details of prizes in the form of placement awards and swag that will be given out during the course of the event. We'll also have some fresh food being prepared and served so you don't have to go anywhere and miss anything.

I encourage our fellow Yaris owners to make a showing, even if you don't want to compete, you WILL have the chance to enter a Show N' Shine contest. The shop employees will be available, as well as some big names in the car audio world to answer questions and give demos for your listening pleasure.

Go ahead and contact me with any questions.

More to follow...

It looks like we're going to have a heavy Pro class in SQ and IdBL SPL classes! Anyone have any good systems in stock locations, get your car pre-registered! You'd be in the rookie class. We're light on that class. You can also do one or two classes, SQ challenge or SQ install. Get a trophy (or two) out of it and perhaps some free gear! Heck, if we've got some SPL Yariiiiii in the NW, let's see how loud you are.
