i'm sick and tired of studying for my finals...

i've been studying for this one class throughout the entire semester everyday!

yeah, most likely. i'm a pre-nursing major, so once i become a nurse, LONG shifts will await me. but it's fine, i get to choose my schedule.

Lucky me I've been done with my finals for rr.. 2 weeks. I had this 2 classes that kick my rear end througout the semester. I got a B in theone class that semed easy till I met the teacher and a B+ in the class that seemed hard from the get go... And those were my lower grades :D.

Trust me, everything will be over in afew days and you'll be able to finaly sleep over 6hrs in your worst night!

lol...tired nurses. lol...but yeah, over 8 hours is not overtime pay. nurses work 12 hour shifts, and if your total amount of hours per week is over 40 hours, then the hours after 40 is considered overtime. but man, becoming a nurse is very difficult; hard classes, and a tough program (which is hard to get into in the first place because it is so impacted, like over 400 applicants, but 60-100 only get in).

hahaha, be very thankful that you got study guides at all. when i was an engineering student, we never got study guides. professors would simply tell you the chapters that would be covered, and everything is fair game. but i proudly boast that i was the only engineer at UCLA that averaged over 9 hours sleep every night (except for the weekends, damn parties). the trick?? copying friends' homework (usually worth only 10% of your grade), and working on your test-taking skills, not necessarily your knowledge base. i've outscored many people who knew more material than me, simply by using common sense and the big fact that they studied ALL NIGHT and were mentally drained, while i was refreshed from having 10 hours sleep. its crazy how a fresh mind can deduce complex things...hope this tactic can give you an edge!!

haha, well, yes, we do have a study guide, but my professor says that we should look at the lecture manual that she typed up (basically retyped the book), the class book, the handouts she gives, and the figures in addition to the study guide. so basically, EVERYTHING! and i usually don't study this heavily. i usually get a good amount of sleep. i guess the good side to this professor is that we do not have hw.

graduated an electrical engineer, but the industry was filled with personality types that didn't suit me well, so i decided to become a high school math teacher in south central LA. good benefits, summer's off, home by 315pm, it was the perfect gig, until i was being targeted by veteran teachers for "unorthodox" teaching methods. (basically, the older teachers were jealous since i taught in a very freestyle manner that netted me the highest standardized test scores in the math department, as well as two math teacher of the year awards). so after getting run-out of that school, i became a freelance comic book artist and a stay-at-home dad. another bit of advice: make sure you like what you do for a career. i stayed away from engineering since i knew i would be miserable working 60 hour weeks with people from revenge of the nerds. remember, money cant buy back the time you lost working at a job that you dont like...

wow, that's some career you've had. i personally know a few people who are/trying to be engineers. and one of my best friends is planning on becoming a math teacher right now. as of now, you're the only comic book artist that i know. at least you like your job. oh yea, i like helping people, so being a nurse shouldn't be that bad to me. i like cars a lot, so once i save enough money, i might open my own garage as a side job.

like 95% of time time studying is for my bio (anatomy and physiology) class. my final is in about 11 hours for that class. i'll be taking another final, for my family and consumer science class, in about 7 hours. i think i shall be off to bed soon.

I started to become a computer science Major, untill I relized I would never be done with school.... to keep up with technology you need to take a new class every 6months... screw that, I went back to Business Mgt Major

oh yea, i like helping people, so being a nurse shouldn't be that bad to me.

i'm glad you're going to a profession that you enjoy! i too know waaay to many people who dislike their jobs and regret choosing certain career paths, and we're all only in our mid-20s!! i'm only 26 and have swithced career paths 3 times already (4 if you count being a house-husband as an official career). i absolutely loove being a stay at home dad (hardest and most rewarding job i've had, and i've dodged bullets in south central LA!!). i wish you well on your finals and good luck with the whole nursing thing. my nephew has 1 more year to go before he too becomes a licensed nurse...

ahahaha, its the price i pay for having been soo lazy and apathetic in school. i truly admire those who are focused in their studies. i was too focused on studying the wrong subject: the female anatomy. guess it paid off since i got the greatest sugar-mama wife a guy could ever ask for. please dont tell her i called her that...

thanks. for some reason i had anxiety throughout my entire bio final. bah. but yea, finally done with that class. just one more final left and then it's break!
