I have a friend who works for tanabe. I kept bothering me regarding if they will still make more parts for our cars. I been wanting a different sway bar beside TRD... and I was asking them if they were going to release swaybars for our cars. Would be nice I think... especially for us people who track their cars. Anyways, if you have not noticed tanabe doesn't have swaybar application for our cars which is a bummer -___-

Now I searched for sway bars... and best I can find was TRD I believe. I apologize if I missed other company out there. If I did I haz failed search.

Anyways... back to my topic. I was told if the demand was right then they will do the swaybar. I'm really itching to stiffen up my chassis more and especially getting rid of some body roll. Anyone interested on tanabe sways?

yes, i would definately be interested in a tanabe rear sway bar! i know there's other bars out there(utra racing, trd), but i like the tanabe products i already have on my car. it looks like they currently only make the sway bars for 'performance' cars which i can understand the yaris not being on there, but i think word i getting around that the yaris is a great tuner car and many people successfully are tracking/autocrossing it due to it's light weight and excellent handling. make it happen, captain!

The tanabe front strut bar was my first suspension mod, and it looks pretty good under the hood. I ended up going for TRD when I got the rear sway bar. Not many options I know, but it's not that spendy.

anyone ever tried their underbrace? It's reasonably priced but for the hatch only. any thoughts on this part?

It's pricey compared to Ultra Racing -- but i carry both in my store.

With Ultra racing rear sway bars available in both 19mm and 23mm, and reasonably priced (19mm is less that TRD), Tanabe will have a hard sell for that part.

I'm a dealer for both, but you have to offer something different to compete.

ps -- most suspension parts are compatible between hatch and sedan.

Dont get too wrapped up in the "Name Game" When it comes to things like the sway bar. On some items I can see going with an established name because you dont know what quality your getting. Rear sway bar? eh...not so much. That being said, the Ultra Racing bar sold at MicroImageonline is top notch quality and REALLY WORKS! I've got it on my sedan (19MM) and it makes an amazing difference. 23mm should be even more dramatic. And they're both priced great. You'll find MI has nothing but quality at the site. I think its two fold, he uses what he sells, and if you sell quality stuff at a good price, you get more sales and you dont have to dick with warranty near as much cause its good to go. Look around the site, bazillions of users here.

ok I'll keep these in mind about the sways but I was actually asking about the underbrace. I know this is a swaybar thread but thought I might chime in with this since it's a chassis type thread and you guys are pretty knowledgable with this stuff.

Is there a big difference between the 19mm and the 23mm ? In no "racing" conditions.

I'm sure it's noticeably stiffer but I guess it depends on regular driving or spirited driving.

can't tell difference in real life 'cause i never tried a 19mm but what i can tell you is that 23mm don't feel to stiff.
For my DD, i felt the effect of swaybar so much in highway ramps. first time i did not believe that you can pull turns like that with a yaris.
