NCVC~ Calaveras Nights...

What:It's been a while since the last NCVC gathering....so i thought i start the Fall season off w/ a cruise through Calaveras hills before the rain comes and gets the pavement all soaked..
This is a mini meet, nothing outrageous unlike July end's meet at the beach.
More meets to come before the year ends :)

Where: Calaveras Hills, near Milpitas...next to OCean Market. (Address will be posted soon)

When: Approx: This week...Oct 13th or Oct 14th...
Next week...Oct 22nd
I can work around people's schedules..so speak up!

Why Because we love the Yaris and great way to meet returning members and new members.

Time: Eat N' Greet @ 8:30pm...afterwards we do the cruise through the hills.

Jonathan and I went to this. We had a great time! Jonathan has been modding away but not posting anything so there were some nice surprises.

I ended up destroying the last of my brake pads because Calaveras is such a nice mixture of straights and turns. One second you're flat out in 3rd hitting 70 and then the next moment you're braking for a 20MPH turn =)

Definitely a great piece of road though.

Hopefully more can make it out next time. I think if we start getting a bit more regular on our meets people will remember to show up and make time for them.

Seriously, huh? People bailed..

Note to self, a low car looks good for pics but for Calaveras...had to crank the dampening to max and it was NOT fun. Im planning for a about 1 1/2 finger gap from now on, gives me ample room for bumps and passenger weight, no more 1 finger gap up front.

But it was MY brakes that smelled something fierce the first run, (downhill) Ocean Supermarket > Gas Station. But gotta keep the tradition of someone's brakes smelling.

O and i gotta take off the window visors for the next run, such a huge blind spot on top of the already existent hatchback A pillar blind spot.

I'm up to 55,000 miles on the OEM pads so they're on their way out after plenty of hard braking on my part.

Jonathan is lower because i'm running 16s now and he's running 15s at the height I had them at before I realized I was scraping everywhere so he's going to be riding a bit higher next time :P

OK I'm bumping this thread because I'd like to go see the Social Network with you all next Saturday eve.

I'm thinking meet at In-and-out, at the mall in Union City around 7 ish or so and head out to the movies.

I'm in a hurry right now but I'll check the schedule and will post up a new thread when I get back.

Right now, next Saturday, I can come, and I saw Computerlove98 today, he is free too. How many of you can make it Saturday eve?
