I think it does what it's supposed to do. If adjusted correctly it works pretty well. You just need to make sure there is no play between the shafts, otherwise you'll hear the vibration under the hood. But it can be adjusted very easily and then all is well :thumbsup:

Well, Newton says, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. So when you rev the engine, it will move backward a little bit - depending on how much movement the engine mounts allow. This ensures a smoother driving experience, less jerking, more forgiving when shifting, etc. You get the idea, the engine moves back and forth a bit, so you get a bit less movement to the rest of the structure.
This of course, robs you of half a horse power or so :wink: No, I have no idea what the numbers are, but that's the theory, holding the engine in place will help transmit the power better/quicker, without using that energy to move the engine itself back and forth.
This is how I had it installed, one side attaches to the strut tower, the other side to the engine mounts:

Oh yeah, you are using the existing holes in the strut tower, on the passenger side.
