Hey first off I have no idea if this has been talked about yet, so if it has im sorry; I have a base model 07 yaris but when i tried installing rear speakers seeing as the base model doesnt have any, they completely dont work. I cut the wires accordingly and installed my speaker but I get no sound from this. Any suggestions?

Strange, my base model had speakers inside but no head unit. If your model had no speakers, there should already be wires there ready for speakers.

yea there were brand new wires ready to have been used.. i stripped them, connected white for negative then red for positive and still nothing. battery was disconnected when i did this and all.. would you know what it is?

If you look a the six pin white connector going to the back of the radio, are there four wires (yellow, black, white and red) connected to it, or is it even there?

That connector just contains the four wires for the rear speakers and runs to junction connector JD3 under the left side of the dash, so it is possible that on your base model that Toyota left out that part of the harness.

well i looked at the harness and its there, been hooked up to my 4-channel amp, and i made sure all the connections were fine. everything seems fine, so i have no idea what it is?

Did you try to swap the front and rear outputs at the amp?
