$$$ bling $$$!
Seriously good job, though personally I don't really understand the concept of footwell lighting... But that's just me

can you turn them on without having the car on

Pictures of the transformers wouldn't show much. It just looks like two rectangular boxes wrapped in electrical tape with some wire coming out each side. Try to imagine it.
You cannot turn them on if the car is off. Therefore, I can leave them on at night and when I start the car they'll come on, and I can't leave them on by accident and drain the battery. You have to turn the ignition until the 12V outlet kicks on for them to work.

its really hard to put these in the sedan cause the white leader cables dont stretch very far, this makes the transformer placement extremely important so the cables dont rip out when u move the seats.
Anyone know what sized rocker switch fits the yaris in the stock hole? i cant find one, but want one

just took new pictures with my new camera and tripod, some are still blurry, but u get the idea on them. Put in my green dome light as well, just a simple 2 dollar bulb at autozone that fits into the the same slot.

BOOM...back from the dead!
Ill be doing this as soon as my stuff arrives. I ordered the 12" blue kit to match my ignition ring light and i will wire it to the same light. it turns on and off the you open the door. i also ordered a scion oem switch in hopes that it will fit in my blank spots.
Thanks Chino for this DIY...you da man!

i wonder if the Orange Cream color is closest enough to the amber gauge and etc. lights of the 09s. Whats a good color to match up meteor metallic? Only think is everyother dash lights will have to be the same color and thats too much work.

have red in mine :) running 4 cathode kits a 24 inch neon under back seat and some 12 inch neons in the footwell seperate from the cathodes come on when car is on. everything else is switched. leds in compartments and airvents as well :)

installed 12" orange creams under dash on both sides. I was disappointed that the color did not come close to the amber lights of the consoles and gauge, but i wrapped them in a light orange bag i found in my garage. Now they look awesome and close enough to amber to match everything. I still need to shave down the sides of a fog light switch that i have to fit in the switch slots, the switch right now sits on the bottom of the slot not flush with top but works fine.

I've had cheap cold cathodes like these catch on fire inside PCs. Make sure to put fire-proof stuff around the cathodes.

yeah id be worry about that, so im gonna get a smaller amp fuse. Coming from a Taco that had greenish dash lights, these amber lights are so awesome. i find myself just sitting in the car admiring the ambers, especially now with the cold cathodes.
