14 inch wheels

Hi guys my cars stock height any photos of 14 inches on their yaris sedans? Any opinions on how it looks putting these on, thing is downgrading from 15 inch to 14 inch.

Any pluses to this?

14's look tiny on the Liftback, can only imagine they'd look even tinier on a Sedan. :)

I just put some new 185/65/14 snow tires on these wheels last weekend.

Is there any plus to a 14 inch aluminium over a 15 inch steely? or just 14 to 15 inch overall

so are 15 inch and 14 same overal just one has more metal?

15 also has less rubber. I test drove one with 14s and it didn't feel as stable as it does with 15s.

And how so I figured with my new aluminums and more rubber it would weigh less making the car smoother plus I am getting a sway bar here soon so it should make things great

14's are less rough, but less stable too (just a little more sidewall flex). It's really not that much of a noticeable difference though.

Are those Miata wheels? I have a set of Miata 15s I was thinking of mounting onto my 3-door (when I finally get it)...

It really depends, I don't think my car is any less stable with 14"s than they were with 15"s.

Now that you're discussing stability, I'd like to tell you my experience:

My car is definitely more stable with 205/50/16's than it was with 185/60/15's.

However, having run 3 different brands of 205/50/16's, I can state that some tyres provide more stability than others. My current tyres have improved stability so much that stability on the open road isn't an issue whatsoever.

14'' wheels are supposed to be the same overall height as 15'' wheels. So the height of the car won't change when you switch. 14'' wheels (as they have higher profile tires) offer more comfort over bumps but sacrifice some of the performance under heavy turning.

OT: It's getting more difficult to find decent 14'' rubber as the trend is for manufacturers to put increasingly larger wheels on cars. The result being that as a rule only some small compact cars roll out of factories with 14'' wheels. So as 13'' tires have practically faded out, 14'' will be next. The choice is much wider in size 15'', so even though 14'' tires are generally cheaper than 15'' tires, there is more choice with 15'' tires and thus a greater chance to find tires with a good price/quality ratio.

Well the guy who sold me them said apparently I have a 4 lug bolt pattern on my 2010 Yaris Sedan and he sent me these links confirming they would fit I am guessing they were correct.

The wheels will apparently fit the Yaris. (Did you get the the centre covers?) Plus, some excellent quality rubber in the proper size. They'll work very well for the winter months. Stick 'em on and stop worrying, mate!

Snows like two weeks away tops man, was 70 pct chance of snow today but it just rained.

Looking good, comfortable ride and easy to clean- that's what matters most in the winter. A good choice on all counts.

However, be careful not to curb them, as in moist and salty winter conditions curb rash easily develops into nasty bubbly oxide.
