In your climate I think that 10W-30 would be just fine as long as its a quality product.

In an oil thread, someone is going to come along at any moment and say that you're killing your car by not using some expensive boutique oil formulation. Ignore them. Just use an API certified oil. In a warm weather place like Puerto Rico, there's nothing wrong with using the 10w30. If you want the absolute best gas mileage, you could try a 5w30 or even a 5w20, but any gains would most likely be insignificant. For what it's worth, I live in Florida, a similar climate, and I'm perfectly comfortable using regular yellow bottle Pennzoil in 5w30.

Good choice on the Pennzoil YB!

in a true oil thread, you'll get people saying all sorts of crazy things. Just use what you want and as long as you regularly change it, everything is fine.
