I have quite a few rock chips on the front of my car as well as several door dings on the sides. I've also got some small white appearing scratches around the door lock due to missing the hole. (No power locks)

Whats the best DIY way to address these so that the car looks good again?

Well, best way to get rid of rock chips (in my personal opinion) would be to purchase the touch up pen from the dealer. It costs around $15 and it has two ends - one end is the actual paint, and on the other end it has the clear coat to protect the paint once applied. If done properly, the rock chips should be barely noticeable.

As for the small scratches, I've seen on several threads that McGuiar's Scratch-X is a very good product. Haven't tried it myself yet, so I wouldn't be able to tell ya!

Scratch X works well for minor stuff if you follow the directions on the product. Pressure is the operative word. After obtaining the results you desire be sure to re-apply whatever Wax/sealant protectant you were using as Scratch X being a polish removes it also. As far as a DIY, re-adjust your aim for getting it in the hole....take a little more time....you don't know how much I didn't want to say that.

Chips.....what eatoman says or google Dr Colorchip. DIY....don't follow other vehicles so close. I am guilty of this alot and I really have to watch myself.
