Black Ops Game Thread

So this game was released today so I drove to Wally world and there was about 30 in line to get it. Buut that is nothing compared to most of all the Game Stops they was packed jam forming lines wraped around the hole building. So there is to versions of this game, the prestige one wich is the 60$ one and the 80$ ( I think have to look at my reciept) wich is the "special edition" one the game started selling at midnight and as closer it got to show time the more people keept on showing up.

I haven't been able to play it yet since I am at work working 13 hrs days but o am off tomorrow and wil start as soon as i wake up lol or even better when I get home today, so far the game has been great from what have read from all kinds of forums. good graphs good reviews.
Let's keep this for all Call of Duty games only!

I totally forgot about that one the Walmart I was only had 2 and by the time it was my turn they was sold , no biggi its just a couple extra things as long as I got the game its all good. I ended up getting the prestige edition as well for the X box oh and walmart was hading out vandanas with the purchase of the game so they gave me 2 of em really dont wear that but Hey ill take it lol

FALLOUT is a great game BUT the glitches and FREEZING UP can be a pain in the ass if you don't save often.........

As for Fallout:New Vegas a good buddy of mine who was a Fallout fanatic , was really disappointing apparently its just a rehash of the original with the addition of a sidekick and some new maps

Everyone is expecting a bethesda fallout when this new fallout was made by obsidian with a few original creators of the fallout series from 1 and 2 so it's almost a completely different game. Deffinatley is different from fallout 3 with Faction storylines and relationships. Your no longer really stuck to one story, you either play for that side or this side in different stories going on in the game. I didn't even get that far yet in about 6 hours gameplay (never really have time) but its addicting game. Just turn hardcore mode on and its so fun realism (you have to sleep, eat, and keep hydrated or your character becomes weak, stimpaks don't heal your health right away they heal over time, you need doctors bags or a doctor to heal your broken limbs, and much more) game is sick and addicting and fun. Deffinatley a game to buy and not to rent. I'll probably get it for the PC to just for the mods and customization.

been stuck for 2 days home with the flu, so I rented COD:Black Ops today (09/11) and I finished the campaign. I must say they did a good job on the single player, great story and not too quick like all the other CODs. Zombie mode is awesome way more fun IMO than the regular Multiplayer (which in my mind is just pointless run and gun, just my opinion). If you guys and gals want to know there are a few easter eggs in the game, and one at least for me is better than all COD.eheheh

lol....jeez how is it you beat the campaign modes so quick and I got about 25% through the campaign mode in MW2 and that took me like 10 hours total lol.....

^^^^I absolutely hated MW2 for server issues. I swear it only happens to me: I would get my killstreak and it would be wasted because of a host migration or lost because of a server error/timeout....

hasn't happened yet in Black-Ops but I have been kicked once and had a weird message in the combat training about ix and 1p lingo and such.....

your not missing much, they overloaded the servers and everything is super laggy and sometimes you cant even go in

that explains why every game I was in the rendering and refresh during movement was really bad and why every game I was in, the connection meters kept fluctuating.....from 1 to 3

I think it's lame and I don't do it. When you get to level 50 you can "prestige" which resets all your guns and perks, brings you back to level 1 - but you get a whole new rank series. It's cool if you are the type that wants that gold cross in the end (or whatever the final prestige is in this game) but meh - it's not for me.

There are only 50 levels. Why wouldn't u prestige? It takes about 3 hours to get to 20. I've played about 10 hours on the first prestige and i am 37 already. Another 5 hours or so and I prestige again, give or take the matches of course.

It's not that big of a thing if u can get roughly 20+ kills in TDM every match. But I get most of my points in headquarters. Even if u get a crappy team and go 0 and 250, you'll still end up with 7 or 8k worth of points. Which is more than the average good game of TDM.

This game is fun as hell I got it on ps3 I think I'm like level 16 now or something. Definately better than MW2 and yeah it blows getting a holes behind you right on spawn times, a few times I spawned and got killed 3 seconds later lol

AK74u is my gun with a scope and longer clip since it doesnt really bounce around if you dont hold down the R1 button constantly.

Glad to know it wasn't the only one who notice this, and I'm sure it wasn't my conection. I manage to play for 20 min before I got pi$$ed off cause of the lagging! The PSN servers are really sucking balls this week!!!

yes, yes you can.....hardline pro lets you change your air drop crates (killstreaks - sam turret, sentry gun, care package)....it's a gamble but I've only gotten ammo once using it...

Just if you play way too much (like me), a way to make it more interesting again. Instead of being stuck at max level forever you can gain a cooler symbol and level up again.

I'm actually getting fed up with the game format.....if you get kicked off a server, host migration fails, or anything out of your control (read: ACTIVISION/TREYARCH's side)
you get a loss.....I'm not complaining to complain...I'm complaining because I had a win/loss like 65-35 now because of connection interruptions and etc... I'm now at or around 100-125....it's getting frustrating..


I'm also getting pissed that there are so many people getting into rooms with a single bar for connection speed and they just go crazy like 20-30 kills and under 10 deaths because you can't get hit markers...

did great first round on new maps in berlin like 14-2....second time went 6-9 or something....sucks..... like my aim is completely off even when I don't ADS....hipfire is like no where near enemy....

this past DOUBLE EXPERIENCE point weekend there was a few changes in the play menu. they had NUKETOWN 24/7 which was nuketown only in TDM,Search/destroy and demolition. CRAZY crazy kils and deaths with my best being 47/63.....

I'm giving up the game....bought the map packs, and I'm getting no where......they took away mercenary TDM, and now I have no where to play...got kicked into 3 rooms that were completely one sided in favor of the other team, depsite my best efforts all three lost by more than 3000 (30 kills)...and the lag tonight was mroe than I'm willing to put up with...I should have had at least 15 kills in each round I played instead all I got was hit markers... if you have a shit connection the game favors you.....oh well /rant time to find something else that gives you a mix of free dlc and pay dlc not just a bankroll game.

yeah they call it mercenary moshpit, not exactly my type of fun playing search and destroy on a new map and getting killed in the same spot 3 times in a row because I get two hit markers, I kill a guy and then someone comes from nowhere and tags me one more time.


you should try Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, online play. It's completely the opposite to the Call of Duties out there and it is addicting.

plus the game is awesome

I'm leaning towards trying AC:brotherhood, I just wish a redbox around me had the game to try it out...I'm not a huge fan of 3rd person....
