Aside from the MI's having the advantage of supporting a member.... can anyone point the pro's/con's of one over the other? Ride quality is important.

I suppose a black-friday sale at MI might make my decision for me :)

support our vendors... support our vendors... support our vendors...

any way, if someone went through the trouble the trouble of trying everything on the market and not being happy, then went through the trouble of research and marketing, testing and then putting them on the market...i'm in. plus, eibach is just over-rated. tien is always good.

just a matter of personal prefrence any way

If it matters, the paint on my Megan springs began flaking off after just over a year. Not a fan of Megan Racing.

why did you buy megans? what influenced your choice?

actually all the info i saw on MicroImageOnline.com... which i ordered alot of stuff from last week

tein is a reputable company no doubt about that. but i wanted more spring rate.

H&R doesnt offer drop hieght that i want.

it was a toss up between silk and megan.. i had posted a question on coilovers/rims but didnt get much info out of it. more rim opinions then any other. asked some old honda guys i know that are running megans and they liked them but none of them actually autocrossed before but i drove a civic with them and it wasnt too bad. but i dont know thier spring rate and niether did they. some said megan is making some good products now and less rip off stuff. i originally didnt like them cuz i thought they were a rip off of mugen from honda.

ANYWHO, i went with the megan cuz they have a siffer rear spring (not alot) than the front which would help with understeer in conjuction with my rear swaybar.

although the SILK has a MUCH higher spring rate and i did like the way they are set up. i couldnt find much user reviews on them and most of my friends never heard of them (cost probably). i do like the SILKs, but if i just heard a little more about them in the forums or heard a personal experience with them,. then i would be more inclined to have spent the extra $800..

Also, whoever wrote up/copied the info chart for the megan coilovers on MicroImage website did a very good job in delivering info. that was a good selling point also.

is it possible to send just the rear springs back to get them repaited?

^

dude, they are only worth something like $25 bux a piece. The only repainting going on will be done in my garage.

confusing: thread is about springs only, and some people are talking about coilovers.
:bonk:

Perhaps I should clarify, too. The paint on the springs on my Megan Racing coilovers was flaking off; springs were starting to rust.
