Boredom and 4 cans of paint=ghetto steelies

Well i got bored and i was tired of seeing my plain blk steelies in my garage, so i took a trip down to Home Depot and got me some rattle cans, sand paper, and some masking tape...a few days later... i have some ghetto fab steelies and i likes :thumbup:

I could not decide on red or blue lip, so i went with purple, because blue and red make yup you guessed it...purple...

I did not get a primer pic but its grey, second step paint the lip..

Wow was going to do this very thing last weekend but was too cold here for painting. :( I was going to go gloss black and bright red for the lip! I like the look and thanks for the pics, I've got more confidence to do it now. :)

White steelies look good. I'd like to see them with chrome trim rings, centre cap, and lugs.

Not bad! I thought about going with white steelies, but figured they'd get super dirty since my steels wheels are my winter wheels.

i like the rainbow idea i think i might do that haha, i ordered some purple lug nuts to finish this off...

@marlondog...I still have my 5Zigen wheels i just said F&%k it, Im bored and painted the steelies and threw them on..
@shinare...I think a few members found some center caps to fit our steelies with a lil modification...

Is there going to be a problem with no center caps? Where would one get some if it is?

i have heard (if anyone knows any better then me please correct) that center caps actually have a purpose. and that is to keep "grit" out of the wheel bearrings. no center caps could promote premature wheel bearing ware and therefore ull be replacing them more often.

The white looks better than I would have predicted. The purple I may have done without though. Not bad! :smile:
