No, it's not that fake ad that's been around for a while. This time it happened for real!

It had nothing to do with maintenance.

Aircraft wings (including aerobatic aircraft) are designed to withstand higher G forces when flying upright than when flying inverted.

If you noticed, the wing snapped off when the aircraft was flying inverted.
The aircraft was pulling very high G forces when inverted and appeard to exceed the aircraft's limit. BTW I belive the aircrft wasa kit built aifcraft.

BTW, these wing faiilures are absolutely horrible!

That's the fake video that was made for an advertisment that I refered to in my OP. It's just a well made editing of a RC model and a full size aircraft. This has been well documented.

Oh and BTW If was that pilot id be keeping that parachute as a reminder of what saved his life

Wow, I'll say... I've never seen one in use, it workes as advertised.

Now, if they could only build chutes big enough for airliners...!
