What throttle bodies are you guys using for this mod? Year/model and part # would be great. Also is there a write-up on the install?
So far the only part# I have found by searching the site is #22030-OD030 I believe off an older model corolla?

has to be drive-by-wire and not cable throttle.
that one should be ok if you do the chip/servo swap

Trying to find what year throttle body to use in the different threads in here. I think I saw '06-'08 somewhere.

Does anyone know if I can use TB from a 2003 corolla. Engine cover says VVT-i on it.

I'm pretty sure '03 was still cable throttle.

you're looking for 05 and newer corolla. if you google corolla electronic throttle control you will find more results, since "Drive by wire" actually refers to a steering system, as opposed to throttle. Has to be normal Corolla, XRS was cable controlled. I believe it's through 07 that it will work on the 1nz, but not entirely sure on that.

only the 1ZZ throttle body works, so the XRS is irrelevant.

Yep I plan to do the chip swap. Got to find that write-up again on all the steps. I think I'm gonna bypass the coolant too.

You guys are calling the Swapping out the black plastic part of the throttle body a "chip-swap" but I think its actually a throttle-motor. Is there actually a chip somewhere in there? all I see is gears and stuff.

I'm using one off of an '05 Corolla. No chip swap, no idle screw adjustment. Love the performance upgrade. I've had no reliability issues in the 1+ year of solid use, over 20k miles.

I've been running it for 2 weeks now with no issues...'05 Corolla TB, chip swapped, stock airbox and tube with AEM dry filter.
Pulls like hell with the A/C on too! And I'm at 6,500 ft above sea-level.
