Actually, it is probably a former Fox News' fact checker.
We all know that job has been eliminated years ago.

that guy had WAY too much time to not find a job. sure, it could be a creative way to get an employer to look at it in certain circles and say that they need someone with that much creativity, but still...yikes.

wow how did that elicit a "must be a 99er". lol.
another possibility could be it's the child of some billionaire who didn't have to pay any estate tax. but who the hell comes to that conclusion after watching the video!?
all i thought of when it was over was, damn wouldn't it have been a lot easier to have just walked over and opened those curtains?

I don't want to make any assumptions about the creator of this, but it had to take months and countless hours. It's not something a kid would have done. A college student would never have the time or that type of free reign of a house. That leaves an unemployed adult. Again, not to pre-judge, but a reasonable guess is that it is indeed someone collecting unemployment when they are supposed to be actively pursuing a job. The "99er" comment referencing the current 99 weeks of unemployment extensions is just making a point.

Well, you are "pre juding.
You are also making the asinine assumption that if someone is unimployed they have to spend 24 hrs a day looking for a job.
Critcizing the unimployed is un Christian, un American and just plain nasty!

okay, that reminds me of the dog feeding machine from back to the future...
maybe a potential employer will see that and give him a job...
or he will just use 1.21 jigawatts and tell himself to protect his job...

Yeah maybe you're right. I think it's obama's fault. Pelosi is the devil! I hate the federal government. Where is my gun so i can go exercise my 2nd amendment rights on this lazy sack of ... whoa whoa whoa, sorry, my tea party Tourettes started to kick in there.

Where did all that come from?
My post wasn't even political. Just hypothesizing who would have the time to build such a useless project. They were reasonable assumptions. But who knows the situation? I just find it hard to believe someone was paid to do this in their home? Am I that crazy?

Did I forget to mention that I'm half unemployed myself (I've been looking for a part time job to complete a full time schedule as I'm only working part time know)?
I spend half of each day searching for a job. I know how hard it is.

Although I've never collected, I have nothing wrong with unemployment compensation when someone is laid off at no fault of their own.
The real important issue is that it must be limited or else the whole system won't work.
99 weeks and the left want to extend it more! Are they kidding? You know people won't take work if their unemployment check pays more. Life sucks, sometimes you just can't replace an old salary but that doesn't mean you never have to work again. Reality is that people may just have to take that $10/hr job. There's little incentive if you know you can collect for over two years without working.

It's a vicious cycle.
Excessive gov't spending = inflation = recession = high unemployment = people getting unemployment and whining for more = bleeding heart politicians beg to give them more unemployment money so that people will vote for them = more gov't spending = ....
I've never been unemployed. I try my best to be freaking sick at my job so that I don't have to worry about somebody else ganking my job. Thusfar, it's worked, and I've been able to swap jobs as better opportunities arise without problems. As further insurance against joblessness, I also fix computers and electronics on the side, as well as being a gunsmith, car audio system installer, light/audio/video guy for theatre productions, and other stuff.

The key prase here is:
...I've never been unemployed........
I guarantee you , you would sing a markededly differet tune it you were unemployed, were despertly searching for a job to feed and shelter your family, and the right wing and many grossly informed voters were calling you just plain lazy!
Personally I always had has a good ol' fasioned work ethic and yes, I have gone to work sick as a dog many time myself.
However, I am also intelligent enough to understand that there are thousands hurting out there through absoluly no fault of their own!
You want to blame someone? Blame the greed corps and the crooked polititions who are only doing the corps bidding but, do not be so elightists and blame the innocent victims.
A collosal lie has been perpetuated on the American people by the right wing and the corps. They claim the if we give and give and give money to the rich, they will create jobs. IT AN ABSOULUTE LIE!
The simple truth is, a job is only created if an employer has increased business and can not meet demand unlees they hire additional workers. They will gladly hire new people then no mater what.
No business will hire a new worker out of the goodness of their hearts no matter what the tax breaks, etc may be. They only hire when they absoluly have to.
How do you increase demand? It's extremely simple. Just make shure the masses (the middle class) has disposible income or at least an income the can live on. It is that simple no matter what the millionare "foxes" say!
Not have something (money, good looks, food, a job, etc) is never a problem unless you don't have it!

I'm neither a democrat or a republican. I'm a constitutionalist. Both of the current parties suck and are driven by nothing more than greed. I'd say that feeding any sector of the market exclusively is not the solution...if you dump tons of money into one sector the others suffer and that throws everything off. I do agree that right now the middle class, which I'd also agree is the driving force of the economy, is the most downtrodden. Unfortunately I don't see that changing unless we have an absolute breakdown of the gov't, a revolution, or some other drastic change that probably will end up hurting us worse than anything. There are too many poor people that vote for people that will give handouts, too many rich that will vote for people to give them more money/tax breaks/whatever, and too many people who are just plain stupid to do anything about it.
In short, I think the US is screwed.

Yeah, sadly I basically agree with that.
I would just add that too many (stupid) people vote againt their own interests.

do want $10/hour... right now i am struggling with $8.55/hour, and would love $10/hour...
this unemployment extension pisses me off too, as i hate that some people get to sit on unemployment and drink their check away, but i have to bust my ass to pay for things, and this guy has been on for over a year... long enough for his certifications for his career field to lapse...
i know that this is a rant, but i do not think that i am wrong here...
