Alright.

Lets do this one more time; I am in the mood for some driving and hanging out with yaris owners. I know its difficult to get this going but lets try.
First we need to figure out a date and PUT IT DOWN; that's the first step for people to actually go. I don't care when it is; Since its the holidays right now; Anytime in 2011 is understandable. I am hoping for a Jan-April Date? Has to be the weekend. The location is most likely Orlando area due to central location (I'm arriving south from practically next to the keys) so no excuses for you north folk. I say about 10 minimum will be good as out of those 10 maybe 5 will be there =). Also if we can try and meet during the day and makes this a good day event for a couple hours; Hang out, take pictures, make a cruise out of it, eat somewhere, Help out with installs, etc. SOOO Start posting and lets get this show on the road.

Yes, agreed, we need a FL Yaris meet. I know we always try and plan one but it never seems to work out. Who is still interested and let's see if we can at least start a list so that we can gauge interest and then we can establish "when" and "where."

thanks for the support. The 1998 F-150 that hit me of course can just wipe my paint off his bumper..... however my bumper will either be getting replaced or repaired....quotes range from $600-1000.

The meet is Saturday Feb 4th and we are moving the location to Courtney Cambell Causeway in Tampa Florida its a beautiful spot for photos right on the bay. And if it gets lame we can cruise on the many highways connected to the bridge we would be on.

Apparently Rota is lying to everyone lol. They let all their distributors believe that the wheels are in stock when they are not so I got 2 in and was waiting for other 2 on backorder. Then the distributor tells me they are unavailable.

I spoke to Jeff at MI and he was told by Rota the wheels could ship out next business day. Then when I place the order, Jeff emails me and says oh no they are not avail and called out to like 3 or 4 other distributors all showing them in stock when they actually are not. Rota says they have no ETA on when I could receive them but they would have to make and ship them from overseas ( i think korea or something) and will not ship them out without a preorder.

So I am just going to get rid of these and pick up a complete set of something else.

you'll love them. The more I drive, the more I love mine. One benefit that I was not expecting is the front wheels do not spin as easily. With the stock suspension giving the car any amount of gas would spin my tires, now they stick. The only problem I had was due to the body roll of the car scaring me once, I need to get racing seats and mount them on the floor, and lower the car more.

the body roll was kinda insane at its limit. It was a very tight off ramp that with stock i could take at around 40 mph and have the rear slide out nice and slowly, and lifting just a bit would tuck it back in perfectly.

With the megans i took it at 55+, and the car stuck, the tires stuck, but the body was rolling like it was a boat. i think the high seating position in the car had a lot to do with it, and i could probably lower it some more. i didn't lower it too much because i really don't want to drag the bottom of the car on anything.

picking up my new tires tomorrow night too. Got rid of my 195/50/15 and picking up 175/55/15 to stretch on 15x8s lol

Hankook, Kumho, and Continental all make tires in those sizes, typically you can only find them online.

Funny thing is I had worked out a deal with a dude to pick up a set of those 175/55/15 and I had someone picking up the S drives the same day. I meet the guy who is selling me the tires and he tells me that he cant sell me those tires and does not want to do business with me.

So I had to drive all the way out there and I had to call the guy I offered the s drives to and back out. I hate these people around here, so flaky.

I just took the S drives and mounted them on my wheels and theyre on the car now.

It would be in February not January. The meet is most likely gonna be the 16th/17th it seems to be the best dates for most people so you're looking at 4 weeks from today.

Meeting up, talking, and shooting photos is exactly what we will be doing.

I just realized its been almost 5 months since our last Yaris meet so its about time to get everyone together again.

We have had a meet I'm Tampa and two meets in Orlando that have all been good fun. But I want more. I want to see everyone come out and join in representing the Yaris community. I'm talking to all of you FL Yaris owners that's never seem to make it out. Yoda, buzz, Derrick, and you know who else LOL.

As normal id like to get some input/feedback on dates, times, locations. If there is anything I can do as well to help increase participation by all means let me know.

I think the 17-18 of aug is possible. or even 24-25 aug weekend also.. If you want septeber, I got dragonCon the first weekend and autocross the 8th. I think any weekend after that would be possible

the gate open at 9am and the races will start then. For anyone wanting to rollout in a group we will be meeting at WestShore Mall at 8am and Walgreens on Park Blvd in Seminole at about 830 and then we will head out to the High School
