Hi,
I own a Toyota Yaris HB 1.3 2010 model. Since I am logging the km details upon refuelling, I am able to determine the fuel consumption. I am perplexed to see that I am getting only less than 11 km per liter (9.1 liter per 100 km) in UAE Roads. Is that the same everyone else using the same car getting?

Why bother about fuel consumption when fuel is way cheaper than water here in the Middle East????

Mine I have Yaris Y Fleet 1.3 engine and same thing what you did I am getting more than 10 Km per liter of Octane 95. By the way Octane 95 is SR 0.60 per liter. I am aware that gasoline in UAE is much expensive than here in KSA.

How come you use 95? Yaris should be fed with 91 octane gasoline only!?

@Zsacia, It's not about the price..Just to compare if our consumptions is normal as others.

I have started since day 1 Octane 95 by mistake. I checked with Toyota people and they said there nothing wrong with using 95 but Yaris is pre-designed for 91. I have used 95 for five consecutive times and when I read that it is for 91 I changed from 95 to 91, there I noticed that for 91 it seems that i am going slower than when i use 95. From that time on I am using 95, which cost more more than Sr6 per tank load.
Kayaris, I stand to be corrected. Suggestions please.

Same here for me, I am getting poor acceleration or take off with 91 and also noticed my gas tank is more easy to drain..
I changed back to 95 as I am getting better engine response and more mileage..

it is because 95 has higher octaine % than 91... you want to go faster? fill up with higher octaine %. take note filling up with higher octaine than the desired % will result to engine failure in the long run.:smoking:
