I was curious to know how many more miles is safe to drive the car when this light start flashing on startup, cuz I'm out of my hometown, and I prefer servicing with the dealer there.
Thanks

Basically it's only saying 'Hey you, time for an oil change.'

That said, you can drive for a long, long time.

The "check engine" light means there's something wrong, maybe something important. The "maintenance required" light is just to remind you that you are coming up on 5,000 miles since the last time someone reset it. It means 5,000 miles, nothing more.

You can reset it yourself if it bothers you. The next time you have the car running, set the trip meter to "trip A." Turn the car off. Hold in the reset button on the trip meter and turn key on, but don't start the car. If you're doing it right, you'll see a set of markers count down. After a moment, it'll finish and you can release the reset button. You shouldn't be bothered by the reminder until the next time it comes around.
