Cant unplug ecometer?

Just got my ecometer and plugged it in to the port to see if it works before running the wire. Now I want to run the wire but for the life of me I can't seem to unplug it. Is there some kind of trick to unplugging something from the port?

Some of the DLC connectors fit very tightly, particularly until they have been installed and removed a few times. Wiggle it side to side a bit while pulling it off.

I've given up for tonight, I'm afraid if I put any more torque on the dang thing I'm going to snap the port off my dash. I'll tug on it some more tomorrow :)

Couldn't sleep thinking about it so I thought I would try it again and wiggle it some more. WooHoo! finally got it and ran the wire. :) Now off to sleep. (I'm sure everyone is thrilled to know :biggrin:)

well i'm relieved lol. funny that it locked in so tight for you. I had removed it a couple of times prior to sending it your way and never had an issue. i'm guessing the pins on your port will be a little more forgiving next time.
