Hi Everyone,
Coming up this Thursday December 30th will be my one year anniversary of Yaris ownership (12/30/09)... I own a 2010 5-speed 3 door LB.
I have kept three running logs of my mileage. I started with recording my gas consumption on a notepad & excel sheet and then after through two online gas logs. I have consistantly used all these methods of recording to this date.
My average lifetime fuel economy is 46.74 MPG. This figure takes account the initial dealer fill, using my notepad & excel recordings, and one of the online gas log recordings. The car mileage is 10,590 from last fill. The 90 day running average is 49.06 MPG.

The other online average is without the dealer fill and only with my fill-ups since I purchased the vehicle. It comes out to an average of 47.7 MPG with 10,285 miles driven.

Come this Thursday the car will be over 10,625 miles. I have driven most of these miles using hypermiling gas conservation techniques... very low RPM shifts (<2,100), DFCO driving, 55 mph and under, and max tire pressures. It is helpful that practically all my driving is open highway and country roads. Hopefully, I can get the same results for next year. It will be a challenge since I will be changing from Non-Ethanol gas to Ethanol gas.
Overall, I'm very pleased with my gas performance after the dealer fill and my first fill. I have consistantly increased my gas mileage since those fills. The vehicle has been the best fuel efficient car for the price I have owned! Problem free! And should there be any problems? I always know to come to the forums for the great advice!
Cheers!
