top gear US has done nothing unique yet, except sucking in a very fat/lazy american way.

Be fair - you come up with tons of good original stuff. It's when you try to copy things that you fall flat on your fat arses...

I cant agree more. The Top Gear US is a complete and utter failure. Its like they phoned up 3 unrelated people who never met each other, told them to individually watch every episode of Top Gear UK and then make a show just like that. They have no rapport with each other, no comedic repartee, no involvement whatsoever. I tried to suffer through 3 episodes of it and didn't make it though a single one. Just terrible.
I see the US can't copy a British show worth crap, but then I started watching "Law and Order:UK" and love it. I guess the British CAN take a US show and make it great.

give them some time to get into their stride... it seems as though they are improving every episode(except for their stig comments)
i think that i will be checking in a few months and looking to see if they build that necessary rapport

Sorry, US TG sucks, period! I'd rather watch reruns of the UK version than a new episode of the US one!
Cheers! M2

I suppose it's a good thing that I've never seen a single episode of the UK version, it doesn't spoil any of the fun and I love the humor of this show to death.
Repeat: I like Top Gear... minus Rutledge Wood, anyways. Take him out and replace him with anyone, I mean ANYONE, it could be Kenny Wallace... and the show would kick serious ass. But as is, it's hands-down the best original US car-show programming outside of Barrett-Jackson. I lurve it. :3
