how can i remove the center console knobs!!

hi all i want to remove the center knobs where the ac and other knobs are. please find the attachment picture. i want someone to tell me how can i remove them so that i can paint the silver thing. thanks very much

You'll have to stick a small screwdriver down between the panel mounts and the switch housing. If I remember there's one on each side. I think the red circled areas are where to look for the tiny tabs holding them in. Be VERY careful as this plastic is thin and easy to break.

Also, once you have the switch housing out it is possible to remove the dials too, but I can't remember exactly where the tabs are that hold those on. It should be fairly obvious though.

thanks mate! i taught so that its from those tabs..and yes they are very thin and fragile. hope that i do not break them.

What color are you going to paint it? I have a blue one already painted if you want to buy it. I have the two pieces above that painted the same color also. If you are interested.
