Alright guys… I spoke with those guys from MaximaTech… They don’t want to help us out until we agree to buy around 300… So I’m pretty sure that’s out.

But on a brighter side I was able to talk to a buddy of mine who is going to make me a Gauge Cluster for my A-Pillar. He is telling me it will be $150-$200, But It will be totally Custom. I told him about our little family here and he said he doesn’t do that kind of Jazz… But If I wanted to order more then one unit I can… So would anyone else be interested?

And even if your not interested… Any idea’s or in site would be graciously accepted!

Is it still a Custom Mod if you pay someone else to do the work for you?

'glassin an A pillar can be alot of work, $200 isn't so bad, especially if it can retain a close to stock finish. Looks great when done properly though.

Sorry Hasher no Pic yet... I still have to decided how to make the setup... I was thinking a nice 3 3/8 Tach down at the bottom... then 3... 2 3/4" gauges going up from there... Again... I am taking ideas!

I've been bitching and moaning for a decent fitted A pillar for months.

How many slots is he throwing in it? I would like one to fit four 2 1/16" gauges.

Sounds like you guys need a ScanGaugeII, you can have a working tach in about 30 seconds, just plugs right into the OBDII connector under the dash!

Look me up in the sponsor section and I'll get one right out to you

I have OCD...so I left that up to him...

I wanted one (1) 3 3/8"
and Three (3) 2 1/16"

but if it can't work out because of whatever reason... I told him not to force it...

I can live with (1) 3 3/8 and (2) 2 1/16

I have the VDO MILLENIUM Tach

The Scan gauge is bigger on my Computer Screen then it is in Real Life... By the time I try and read it, I would have crashed into a Ditch... The Scan Gauge is good for somethings... BUT NOT AS A TACHOMETER!

Digital tachs are a waste. I love the styling, but I hate the refresh rates.

If digital tachs didn't suck, I'd have a HUD right now.

I'm excited to see this pillar. I refuse to go buy one of the tacky-looking universal pods from Summit.

I am trying to find a spare driver glove box lid and have one done in CF with a Tach, Temp and Oil in it.

If this Doesn't work... then that is my 2nd Option!

But I am not ready to loose a glove box just yet!

I saw a mag a few weeks ago with a car that had litle "mushroom" gauge pods on the dash - 1 gauge to each pod. They were little "balls on legs" (no sniggering, children!) in a grey/silver plastic. Anyone have any leads on something like that? One with a tach centred above the drivers glove box would suit me fine.
TIA, hopefully,
Steve

Heres my idea.....

A custom mounted tach in a pod that replaces the far left heater\ac vent. I never point that vent towards me and I see about all its good for is defogging the drivers window. How bout a custom pod there that merely routes all heater\ac air towards the window? Would look pretty pimp I think.

Tried that... the hole is too small! It's just shy of 2"...You would Strain your eyes looking at the Tach
