oh really i thought just the front turn siggs had to be yellow and the back could be red or yellow but im in ny so im sure its different thanks though

but you know whats not illegal, marijuana i would move there just for that reason alone haha hopefully other states follow suit

oh you're right I was hallucinating, it's the front that can't show red or blue lights.

also does the whole rear light need to come out to change the bulb or just the inside trunk lining?

matthewai

just put them in they look great easy swap although it took me a bit to get them all the way in and i had to bend the terminals just a tiny bit so they made contact with the housing. hope they dont jar loose after hitting bumps i think theyll be fine...right guys?

wellp for some reason they do the "fast" flash now when used individually but all lights work any one know bout this? (wrong bulb its a 7440) (bad connections) when using hazards they all flash at the same slow pace

Are they LED bulbs or standard incandescents? If they're LEDs, they don't draw enough power and the 'fast flash' is caused because the car thinks the bulb is blown out altogether. I can't remember the correct term for it, but a relay or resistor or something needs to be installed. If they are just normal bulbs, then you may have a problem with the fuses.

Seeing that you ordered from SBLEDs like I have before, I'd wager your problem is the former. There are easy fixes for it, but just bulbs alone will lead to fast flashes.

well they are all leds i think 15 led 7440 12v wedge base there actually is a resistor inside the light under the leds and tiny circuit board did i get the wrong one was i suppose to get 7443? i have 2010 sedan

bassically im asking if i need a relay to make them blink at the "stock" rate

SAV912

LOAD RESISTOR, that's it. You may also see some success with an "electronic flasher unit" but I don't know the details on that as well.

Look on this page: HERE (http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/index.cgi?action=DispPage&Page2Disp=%2Fcarbulb-notes.htm) and the second paragraph down should have all the information you need.

okay but there is a resistor inside of these bulbs so it needs another one ur saying im sorry im just stupid when it comes to resistors

I'd really PM CTScott. He knows a metric fuckton more about wiring and electrics than I do. Maybe the resistor inside the bulb isn't enough of one, since the signal going into the bulb in the back isn't the same as the one in the front? This is assuming that you have retained the factory turn signals instead of changing those to LEDs as well.

Like I said, I'm not 100% on any of this, I'm mostly talking out of my ass with educated guesses. The only thing I do know for a fact is that LEDs draw a lot less power than normal bulbs and that's the reason you're getting the fast flashes. All of the bulbs on my car are LEDs except the headlights and the turnsignals for this reason.

its getting fixed right now hopefully no more problems i just brought it to a place they said 1/2 hour of labor so i figured why not just get it done right cuz i prob would have fugged it up

THEY WORK RIGHT NOW YAAYYY

but my "maintenance required" light is on it was on before i brought it to the shop so i thought it might have to do with the blinkers and that it would go away once they were fixed but its still there maybe ill start a new tread about it

is it possible that the light goes on at the 5,000 mile mark

Yes.

Toyota uses it to remind you to get your oil changed. That's about it.
