This may have been implicitly answered elsewhere but a search didn't turn up the direct answer to this question:

Will the TRD Sport seats bolt in to a sedan/Belta using the Vitz mounting kit that TRD offers?

I.e. if I buy the Vitz sport seat package from TRD will I need to fabricate anything in order to put it in my sedan?

I'm after a lower seating position and these seats seem like a nice way to get there.

Ok I didnt know they even made sport seats. Course I dont even know what a vitz is. I am guessing it is the yaris in foreign countries(foreign to me anyways) or is the car that the yaris replaced.

The Vitz is the JDM version of the liftback Yaris. In Japan the sedan's called a Belta. TRD makes quite a bit of stuff for the Vitz platform, including some sweet looking seats.

Not sure if they'll fit, my guess is that they are the same, but I know that the stock Yaris sedan seat is slightly different from the hatchback seat so the best thing would be to try to swap stock seats with someone as a test. You can try my stock seat anytime if you're local.

And if you are planning to do TRD seats, these are the only ones I'd consider:

those recaros dont look very daily driver friendly.

the TRD ones above look awesome in grey/black though!

That being said, anything can fit anywhere with enough coaxing :)

sure, I can *make* it attach to the car but if I'm going to be cutting/bending/welding I'll just put some of my Sparco seats in.

reclineable aftermarket seats are pretty much same height as stock. If you want low, go with bucket seats.

We carry:
- bride
- recaro
- buddy club
- sparco
- momo

Hmmmm. I think I'd honestly prefer the stock seats, recovered in leather (along with the door panels, etc.) over those TRD sport seats.

yeah that would be nice, but you would be sliding all over the place during high speed maneuvers...

Found those seats at japanparts.com :

CAD $955 per seat W/O mounting brackets
CAD $178 mounting bracket

That's before shipping and handling!

I live in the US so it would be cheaper but ouch! I think as if someone got every trd part they could that would be cool.

according to the TRD site, the sport seat plus bracket lowers the seating position 15mm. Are they incorrect?

It's correct, it does lower by 15mm.

But 15mm is nothing.. it's about half an inch :frown:
