thanks

It'll only help if you have more air going through the intercooler to cool it off. Do you have a hood scoop for airflow?

Seems to me that unless you've got a big turbo, you don't need a big intercooler.

need more information. Are you doing anything else besides the intercooler?

I dunno, but I DID hear from an internet pop-up that there's a pill that can increase the size of.....Oh wait....nevermind. That wasn't about intercoolers.

bigger is not always better, if the inter-cooler is not large enough or not enough air flow it will heat soak. if the inter-cooler is to big the pressure drop across the core will be huge and make less power then a properly sized.
with your current inter-cooler if you can do a couple on boost pulls back to back and touch the cold side of the charge pipe and its warm to cold it should be fine.
but no, going to a bigger inter-cooler is not always better. a properly sized for the application would be best.

A intercooler is alot like a turbo. Two things you need to know. 1 is your end power goal. 2 how much physical space car has. You dont want to go too big you will start getting too much pressure drop. Here is Garretts cores sizes. Hope this help..

This the intercooler which i am planning to install, i am not having the hood scoop, but ill make it soon, turbo i am running is Garrett T28, .6 bar is the boost.

more surface area might appear to mean more cooling. however larger intercoolers have larger piping or larger effective cross-sectional area, with lower flow. flow needs to be turbulent for increased heat transfer. also consider fin design for ideal spacing of fins.
to me it seems like more performance can be achieved with a better designed intercooler than a larger intercooler.
