transmission light

The transmission light comes on my dashboard but no-one seems to be able to fix it. I have not been to dealer as they charge the earth. I have been told (and had fitted) a lamber sensor (front and rear) and a catalytic convertor. Nothing cures light s it always comes back on within a day. Has anyone had this problem and solved it? If so, how?

Do you mean the check engine light? I didnt know there was a transmission light. If its the CEL have the code read at auto zone and tell us what it is.

Just found your reply - thanks but I am a novice with these things. I have checked in the owners manual and the light is as above. No-one seems to be able to find out what the real malfunction is hence the new parts have been fitted to try and rectify the problem.

Im thinking the light is your check engine light. You can identify it by looking in your owners manual. Do you have an AutoZone nearby? Go there and they will "read the code" for free. Then tell us what it is. Thats the only way we can help you if we know the code.
