Hi
got a trafic ticket...one brake light out.

I replaced the bulb but the driver side brake light is still out. (the tail lights are both working).
My next step would be to check the fuses. I have located the fuse box for the lights.
My question is: would it be a fuse if only one brake light is out? in other words, isn't there just one fuse for the brake light circuit, which includes both brake lights????? seems odd that just one brake light is out.

If its not a fuse, any other suggetions?

not fuse...probably the socket. check for burn marks and bent pins/tabs. happens all the time. maybe not on toyota but it's still a likely source. you can also ohm out the wires and see if it's shorted to ground or if ground is shorted to pos.

Are you running the stock tail light assemblies and bulbs?

Check page 135 on the 'electrical wiring diagram'. Looks like both tails share the same fuse. Do your license plate lights work?
