CAR ENGING NOT START

PLS MY CAR YARIS 2009 FLOOD IN WATER AFTER JEDDAH FLOOD
I CLEANED AND DRY ALL ELCTROICE PARTS .
AFTER THAT WHEN I PUT THE KEY TO START THE ENGINE TRYING TO START BUT FAILED ..
IF I DISCONNECT THE BATTARY AND PUT THE KEY IN STA:redface:RT POSITION AND CONNECT THE BATTARY AT SAME TIME THE ENGINE STARTING BUT IF THE KEY BACK TO NORMAL POSITION THE ENGINE WELL STOP ..
PLS HELP ME

it seems that way.. very strange :iono:.., the floods in jeddah reached about 1 to 2 feet in some areas.

your car is not yet old and i believe that the warranty from abullatif jamil will be consider..as long as they include the warranty for ACT OF GOD(aog).i suggest to bring with them and check by the expert mechanic ..because your case is un usual.

As far as i know Act of God is not covered in our insurance & warranty...

Sorry to disappoint you but DAMAGE DUE TO FLOOD is not covered under the limited warranty as per the attached (Page 9). However, it is suggested to contact the dealer for further churvah!

it seems that way.. very strange :iono:.., the floods in jeddah reached about 1 to 2 feet in some areas.

The first things I would check are the AM2 fuse and the "ST" relay in the under hood fuse panel. Next would be the IG2 relay, which is part of the chunk of plastic that the AM2 fuse is mounted in.

After that it's the ECM that controls the starting process, so the next thing I would do is to open the ECM case and dry it out or pick up a cheap junkyard ECM to swap in (I've bought Yaris ECMs off ebay for as little as $25).
