Look at what I found at the junkyard. Honda Civic HX rims, 14x5.5 ET45 they weight about 11lbs and I was quite surprised that Enkei made them!!
I got the set for $140. I took this picture indoors because they rims were freshly painted. Will have to do a clear coat once the white cures.

There were a bit scuffed up, but after some sanding, priming and white rattle can paint, they look pretty good! Now I just have to save up for some tires and I'll be rolling on junk.

awesome...i'd like to find some factory escort or honda rims that are 15 or 16"
maybe even a cobalt or cavalier rim.

Just curious, why didn't you just take the tires off before painting them? Now you'll have to fudge around to get them off trying not to re-scuff up the paint.

Those look nice, but dittos on the question of whether or not to paint them with the tires on them.

Hehe, yeah, I really didn't thought that far ahead.
It dawned on me that those weight clips might be a problem while I was already into painting the wheels. Hopefully whoever is balancing my wheels will put new weights in the same spot.

you can always go back and put a second coat on. just lightly sand the area with a 120 then a 180 or so and clean with alcohol NOT BRAKE CLEANER AS IT WILL PEEL THE PAINT...and spray over just that area if you are good at touching up.

nice find. it would look better if you masked the tires with a masking tape before you paint them.

Ghetto White Wall tires!!!
The tires that are on the rims now are bald, that's why I just sprayed them along with the rims.
