Ok I been having fast wear out on the front 2 tires and o think its because of the camber bolts the car has, las year during the Import Alliance meet on the last day my front 2 tires decided to go out thanks to Mike I was able to make it back home since he had 2 extra steelies in his car, isn't that crazy?

I put on a different set of wheels with fairly new tires and I decided to look at the back ones just to check and DAMN they are wearing out fast. I have just got a new set but before I mount them I need some one to tell me WHY is this happening. Alignment? Camber bolts? Coilover? WTF LOL

Thanks for a reply

PS: Mike you will be seeing these again this summer. Lol

Well Idk what your driving habits are but both me and my friend (MT and AT respectively) spin our front tires constantly ( maybe bc we drive like maniacs?! lol ) Im actually replacing my tires tomorrow (YAY!) because they are bald as hell but the front are worn more than the back... although i have gotten them to almost the same wear by sliding my ass end out alot lol (its fun!)

Where is the wear? and where are the pics?

I could take pictures but I don't think it would help the wear looks evenly. Tire pressure unknown and my driving habits are as usual (normal) from work to home and home to work no spinning tires since my car is AT and has heavy wheels

even wear suggests your pressure is ok. best to verify with a gauge.

still interested in make/model of tire and the treadwear rating.. maybe you can warranty the tires for the fast wear?

Tire pressure unknown

this is the second set that this has happened

Tire pressure and oil level are the two most important things to check regularly.

What is your tire rotation schedule?

you have fast wear in the front only for set #1 and fast wear in the back for set #2?

there's a tire wear pattern at http://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-car-tires-work .. which does yours look like?

The small pics are back tires the big one is front, so i take that back they aren't wearing evenly

Camber alone won't typically kill a tire - my RX-8 has nearly -2 degrees all around and I get 30k+ miles out of my tires - I would guess your have excessive toe (in or out) in the front.

Orlando have you tried getting the front aligned? Before any thing just to make sure

I'd say its camber in/toed out.. Does the inner tread feel feathered that'd be the toe.. and inner edge wear is part of being lowered and camber going negative.. Also being Toyota mechanic one thing i have noticed that these cars scrub quite hard especially yaris, prius, camry and Tc's at lower speeds.. (the tire stays flat on the ground versus rotating or tilting with the turn). I'd like to see how your alignment is.. also Rotations are key with Toyota.. honestly every oil change i do it.. I know it sucks but We're talking extending tire life by 5-10 k if done religiously.. Also there's not much you will do on rear tire wear as these are a solid rear axle.. shimming is about it but good luck finding someone who really wants to deal with it since you've lowered ur car. Hope this helps at all.

Thanks

As to the alignment the car shoots a lil to the right so I have to take it some place where they can do it. It messes up because I change wheels so much
