I'm aware of the strange shift pattern the Yaris(automatic)has....when your going around 40mph and it shifts into top gear and it feels like the engine is bogging down....real low rpm's.Is there any problem with placing the drive selector in "3" and driving on your merry way?.....this would be done only when driving through town 35---40 mph?. TIA

No except your revs would increase and your gas mileage would take a hit. I know what you are talking about and I was complaining to myself about that. The Blitz throttle controller took care of it.

I don't noticed it, but maybe that's because my Jeep is really brutal about going into overdrive at 45 MPH! With the 31" MTs, any slight uphill means it bogs down badly at that point. Luckily, a quick tap on the throttle downshifts it.

I've got 17s on my Yaris hatch with an auto and I don't think the shift into OD is bad at all. You gotta remember it is primarily an economy car, and the transmission is set up to optimize fuel consumption...

I was able to deal with mine by getting the NST crank pulley.
