Hi guys, I bought a 2009 yaris hb but it only came with 1 key. The key itself has a dimple (dot) and a keyless entry. I read several topics on how to add a keyless entry but I also want to get a 2nd ignition key. Dealer told me it will cost around 200-300 bucks for another master.

I checked on ebay and found this. I'm not sure if this will work. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Toyota-Ignition-Transponder-Key-CHIP-4D-67-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQfitsZYearQ3a2009Q7cModelQ3aYari sQQhashZitem3365141820QQitemZ220739147808QQptZMoto rsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories#vi-ilComp

and if it does, can I program it by myself or only a dealer can do that?

Also, my car has an immobilizer entry. Thanks

Yes, you most certainly can get that key off of ebay. I'm not sure of DIY programing but as the ebay seller suggests, you can definitely go to a lock smith to program it for you. Look one up in the yellow pages and give them a ring to see if they can handle it for you.

If the RFID chip is the same as the one in your car, there is a set of instructions somewhere on this forum that say how to do it. Steps like opening and closign the door etc.

EDIT: Here it is: http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showpost.php?p=363019&postcount=6

If I'm not mistaken, that is to program the keyless entry remote. Unfortunately that does not program the transponder chip.
