How do you guys transport your dog when traveling :confused:
I have a 5yr old pug and we put him in a medium-large kennel but he still manages to get hair on the on the back of the seats when they are down. The hair wipes off the plastics easily with a microfiber but the fabric on the back of the seats eat the hair and it becomes difficult to remove...so any suggestions on that would be appreciated as well :w00t:

Yeah I have seen the commercial on that but I am a little skeptical when it comes to that stuff:iono: ...do you have experience with this product?

Yes. I use it in the house to get rid of cat hair on furniture, blankets etc. The self-cleaning rollers don't work as well as advertised. But other than that it does a great job of pulling out hair that gets stuck in the fabric weave.

You might also just try using packing tape or similar sticky tape. It's a little more time consuming but it does get the job done.

Sweet, I'll give it shot because that little guy is super hairy regardless of how many times we furminate him! :eek:
Do you guys think it would be worth buying a trunk mat and just spray it off when I wash the car? If so, what brand?

I thought about doing that to my pug too! He sheds all over my wives Acadia and nothing works to get it off the carpet except to pull each one out by hand. I haven't had him in my Yaris yet but it'll happen sooner or later

Lol! we actually did that 2yrs ago...well we actually tried buzzing him with some pet clippers. However we only managed to get his body and some of his legs because he would not be still! :eek: But overall he looked like a lion with his little pug-mane! :headbang:

I hate when that happens we once put our Chocolate Lab in the back of her LB and ohhhhh it was a mess. hair everywhere:laugh:

We had a white pug, and when we went to pick him up from the people we were getting him from they had him shaved short (he was a year old). I thought it was dumb at first until I realized how badly they shed. I never did shave him myself, but I thought about it many of times.

I've used at least half a dozen fur removing products. The only thing I've learned is they only work on certain furs on certain fabric. You will probably just have to get a few fur removing products and just try them. Try fasting a towel to the seats the Pug sits on.

Thanks, he is a great looking pug...much better looking than the Doritos pug! :wink:

Well I finally came down to one conclusion, the pug is only allowed in her ford focus! :thumbsup:

The only problem is the ford focus is a POS! :thumbdown:
We constantly have issues with that thing...its like every 6months we have to drop $500+ for something that has broke...valve dropping into block, piston rings gone, new rack and pinion, new fuel pump, new struts, new oil pump, new head gasket, etc.
Cant wait to pay it off and get her a 5dr Yari! :biggrin:

I have this Pledge fabric sweeper - and 4 indoor cats, 2 of them longhaired. It works great on both heavy textured fabric and my fake suede chairs too. They are supposed to be tossed after getting full, but I take the rollers out and empty them.

Didn't you know, anything under 40lbs is not a dog...it's a cat pretending to be a dog.
Unless it's under 15lbs, then it's a rat.

Since I live on a mountain and have to have a serious 4 wheel drive all winter, I've had my Yaris parked and have been driving my good old Toyota '89 All-Trac. In that I don't worry about anything, as it's a beater, so Ted the dog can ride anywhere he damn well wants.

In my late Fall purchased Yaris, I have been agonizing over how to Ted proof it, or breaking it to him he would NOT GET TO GO! I have decided I will sacrifice the passenger side new window tinting (he'll scratch that up, slobber all over it etc) and to preserve the passenger side dash (where he likes to put his fore paws, complete with claws), I used a small piece of velcroed carpet to protect the plastic. I would like to protect the fabric on the door, as that is where he'll rest his paws when hanging his head out the window, but am unable to figure out how to make some protective carpet or whatever adhere to the existing fabric, so have decided what the hell it's only a car and he is my best bud so I don't plan to worry about it. The passenger seat (the ONLY place he'll have free rein, really) I just throw an old bed sheet over.

If you can't take your dog, what good is the car?
