He guys. I'm ready to add central locks and alarm to my yaris. I've searched the phorumz and I think this is the one I need:

MES Central locks with Avital 3100 Alarm (http://www.a1electric.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=AEOS&Product_Code=W01F-740T)

Is that the one I need? That's from a1electric. I would also like to put a lock/unlock switch in the panel under my emergency brake. And, if possible, a remote liftback open. Is that possible on our cars? Are these the only things I need to do that?

Door Lock Switch Kit- Flush mount (http://www.a1electric.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=DLSW-1&Category_Code=)
Trunk release solenoid kit (http://www.a1electric.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=TK01KIT&Category_Code=)

However in reading some of the threads, it was mentioned there was a fairly detailed DIY on the installation of the system in a car that only has manual locks, but I cant seem to find it. Anyone remember it?

You need a cable, not rod actuated kit for the Yaris.

The console switch is fine.

The trunk release solenoid kit is for a vehicle with a trunk. For the hatch you will need a rod type actuator to unlock it.

Then, to pop it you will need a solenoid actuator to do the luck button push function and then some type of popper to lift the hatch off of the latch.

Thanks for catching that CTSCott, is this one (http://www.a1electric.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=AEOS&Product_Code=W01C-740T) the kit I need?

The trunk release sounds like its more complicated than its worth to pop open, but I would like for it to at least lock/unlock with the other two doors. Since you said its a rod type, is this the one I need:

MES Door Lock Actuator (2 wire) (http://www.a1electric.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=AEOS&Product_Code=W15F)

Thanks for all your invaluable help.

Correct on the kit and the 2 wire rod actuator for the hatch.

One of these days I am going to get around to doing the hatch popper on my car. When you wire your car up, you might want to run an extra pair of wires from the keyless receiver to the hatch so that you can add it once I get it all figured out.
