part of heat shield fell off

great, now a small piece of the heat shield by the gas tank fell off (about foot long) due to corrosion of the shield and the bolt that holds it on

I swear they made it of tin foil, it feels very flimsy, any harm in leaving it off? not that it can go back, its all corroded, lol

Mine melted a small spot from the HK1 being to close to it I guess or even touching it
