Got my Yaris with an aftermarket muffler tip...after 2 years of going deaf on the highway, i'm thinking of getting a different one...one that is not so freaking loud.. everyone can hear me coming for 500 feet away, and its got to the point where i think its really annoying... any suggestions or links for a new muffler tip? i still want it to sound good, just not so much inside the car..

By the way, changed my front shocks to Tokico, and absolutely love it! Wouldn't exactly call it a soft right, but deffinately firm!

idk but i really like the look of the one you have now. i'm jealous because mine looks like crap and is extremely loud as well. is there any way you can alter the rest of the exhaust to bring the noise level down while still keeping those tips i wonder?

The tip shouldn't make much difference. What muffler is behind that tip? Not stock?

Muffler tips do not make sound louder.... maybe it's your engine...
How about regular servicing? Spark plugs change?

most likely Corroded/damaged Muffler BOX.... ???
Or ... broken mid-pipe.....

i see rust behind that tip...... i bet there is a hole somewhere.. rust=chemically lightened

no theres rust but no holes, i checked... its just extremely loud and annoying, i'll try to get a better picture when it gets warmer.

i bet the muffler itself is not stock. the stock muffler is very quiet.
