So I was driving today with my buddy and he is a bigger guy and every time we would hit a bump my passenger side front tire would rub. Before he got in the car I had zero issues. Im running 215/40/17 tires with a 40 offset, with a 1.8" drop, cut bump stops and stock shocks.

Im wondering if the Tokico Blues that Microimage has would help my rubbing issue. Otherwise my buddy is gonna go on a diet before he is allowed to roll with me again.

Sorry, but I don't think upgraded shocks will do you any good (maybe the Tokico Reds). Get some 205/40/17 tires. I had those on 17x7, ET40 rims, and the only time I started rubbing was when I installed hub spacers in the rear. Before then, I didn't really have a rubbing problem, even with people in my car. Oh, and I'm lowered ~2.1 inches.

Either that, or tell your friend to go on a diet. lmao.

I have to agree with Kaotic, all depends on tire size or the over weight friend you got, lol

Other than the rubbing when your big friend rides, how do you like the MI springs?

How is the ride with those springs mounted on the stock shocks/struts?

Without him its great it rides nice and the rubbing is almost non existent except on really hard turns. Yea i'm thinking tubby needs to find another ride lol

Also I dont even have 500 miles on the tires >.<

if you dont have wheel travel you have no ride so bounce around on the road or ride in style with a little bit of rubbing here and there its only rubbing a cheap shit plastic wheel liner get out a dremmel tool and do a bit of trimming and you ca fix that im sure good luck

Lmao, ok but try triming the fender lining a bit, with my 18 rubbed a little and I had the Stechs on her now I have TRD springs to lift the ride a bit. But how does the MI springs feel?

You have the wrong size tires, you should of use 205/40/17....

I know, I just got the 215's 2 weeks ago and im surprised my tire shop didn't say anything.

As for the MI Springs they are fantastic and the pricing is really good.

I think as a partial solution I'm going to put the full bump stops back on and get the 'Blues from microimage. Hopefully that will help things out a bit since the rear never rubs. As for my fat ass buddy he can find another ride... I like my car better than him
