Best tires for mpg.

Just drove my 08 Yaris from Montreal to Tampa and am noticing the winter tires are really making for poor mpg,as these winter tires have done their last winter i thought i'd just leave them on till November then buy some new winter rubber then come spring buy some new summer tires so i was wondering which summer tires to buy for max mpg or least rolling resistance..

you could try the toyota hybred tires if the size matches yours i think they claim lower rolling resistance but im not sure. they are spendy im sure could also make sure you run max air pressure in the tires you have now to help for a little better fuel millage but they may ride a bit harsher good luck

Saw an ad in Popular Science for goodyear tire boasting their high milage tire.

michilin mile master tires are low rolling resistans....and super hard with a 80kmi warranty. but they're over 150 each. so, where do you want to spend your money...to the tire companies or to the gas companies.

Bridgestone Ecopia 422s . Use them for the '11 FIT . Might get these for the '08 Yaris sedan in mid > late spring of next year . Here's the gas mileage with the 422s' on the FIT , http://www.fuelly.com/driver/cinder/fit . They're also wearing well . Another to consider is the MICHELIN Defender .

I'm about to receive my new tires (Yokos) on which i done extensive comparison and lots of reading in regards to low rolling rezistance and it appears at the top all season tire Michelin Aquatread was the one to beat...until Yokohama came out with their Avid Ascent line that apparently uses orange oil in their secret formula to make their tires even less rezistant to rolling by 11 or 12%...i know that is not much but now they are the tire to beat (all seazon).Designed in Japan and made in USA:thumbsup:.

I have them on my Outback and absolutely love them. They'll be going on the Yaris next.
