Okay, I've looked and looked but cannot find, so if you have the link to this information if it already exists, that would be awesome.

I'm trying to replace the rear speakers in my new 2010 Yaris Sedan, but I can't seem to get the grills to pop off. Further, as I looked under them while prying, it looks like I need to actually be able to get under that whole carpeted section in the very back, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how, nor can I find instructions online.

Please, if someone can give me some instructions or create a DIY, I would be very much obliged. Can't stand the poor quality of those paper speakers for much longer!

Thanks in advance!

Yeah you have to take the whole carpeted thing off. It's a epic PITA. Do you have the 60/40 folding rear seat?

On mine I folded the seats down and removed all the bolts holding the carpeted thing on. Then you open the trunk and remove the 3rd brake light. After that it's just a matter of wiggling the carpeted thing loose. Be careful not to lose any of the little foam pieces.

EDIT: Oh and I had to use a dremel and cut out the speaker holes in the body of the car more and have a audio shop fab me up a custom mounting bracket out of thin MDF wood. They only cost be $3/ea so it wasn't too bad. The whole project took a long time though. I made a thread about it sometime back but I can't find it.

EDIT 2: Found a pic of one of the speakers installed and the MDF wood piece.
