My friend has an 05 mustang. It was having problems with the speakers, so we pulled out the box and amps. now when we start the car it takes a second to start and when it does, there is no power to it. We can't get the car to go over 1500 rpms even with the pedal to the floor. tried to reconnect the amps but just cant get it back to normal. any advice?

<just freakin' kidding!>

Tell him to just buy a Yaris - it has more power!

I've had similar problems with my 09 Mustang. My gf recommended disconnecting the battery and then reattaching it and turning it back on, which I laughed at. But then it worked. Just had to reset or something. Can't hurt.

remove both terminals. connect the wire terminals together with a gator clip for about 10 minutes. then remove gator clips and re-attach terminals to battery. this will completly reset ecm and all other modules on the car. if it still persists i'd have the diag codes checked into and report back.
