The main heat shield under the cats is buzzing like mad after a hard corner or a bump in road sometimes... I have tried to bend it to reduce buzz and to catch it and see where it's hitting but can never see any contact with exhaust ??

I found this old post

"What i found was, when doing my Meagn Header install, the waffle looking metal heat shield that goes inside the hump, where there exhaust piping is run, its only attached at a few points... that entire piece needs a few self tapping screws run thru it.. it vibrates/rattles at the very edges, as its only locked down in the center".

I was wondering if anyone has had this issue and if so any ideas ?? Or is the above suggestion the best option ?? Thanks

use some small screws and attach it at other points.

or, get some metal clips similar to brad clips and pinch it together.

i wouldnt remove it or you may melt stuff inside the car. you could bubble up the paint or melt wiring. idk what's on top of it.
