replacing 07 yaris sedan door speakers

Sorry if this has already been answered somewhere else, but im replacing my door speakers and im just cutting the old ones out and using the stock spacer. My question is will there be any sound difference if i use the stock adaptor that plugs into the spacer or should i cut that out and connect to the speaker wire itself?

I hooked my new speakers to the stock harness plug with buttends....can't say if there's any sound difference, but it sounds fine to me!
