I know this thread is 2 years old, but I've been needing to know this. I took a pair of calipers and measured the ID of the hose that goes from the valve cover to the intake manifold and it came out to 18.6mm. I found 19mm (3/4") hose online, but I'm not sure if this will work. My hose is leaking and I'd like to get a hose that doesn't have that weird insulated coating around it that I can get a proper hose clamp on instead of that piddly little metal clip.

Ideas? Opinions?

This is the hose I was looking at: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009PYDXOC/ref=noref?ie=UTF8&psc=1&s=automotive

As you can see this one is pretty expensive, so I don't want to buy it and it not fit.

Has noone replaced this hose with a non-factory part?

3/4 hose should work

I can't seem to find the thread, but a while back someone asked the same thing and I posted the measurements. Rather than measuring the existing hose, measure the nipple that it will go onto at a point other than the flared area.

Yeah I had asked you at one point over on MI I believe, but I never could find that thread either.

5/8 hose is the one that you need.. just ask for one in the nearby automotive store.. very cheap stuff

Thanks Tolmach.

Would silicone be okay to replace that valve cover to intake hose with? I read that silicone isn't safe for oil. I'm not sure how much oil goes through that hose but I know there is some, because it's all over my supercharger throttle body tube thing.

It will fail early as oil will soak into it. And a lot of oil blows in to the intake that is why mine is blowing into the air, mmmm the sweet smell of oil.

My Weapon R intake tube came with a silicone hose and I've had it on for about 9 months with no issues. No softening, no swelling, no discoloration, no deterioration. Now that you mentioned it, I'll keep a close eye on it for any changes and will post them if anything happens.

Even though they don't look as nice (I really wanted some pretty blue hoses haha) I went ahead and just got a regular ol black piece of heater tube. It was $5 for 2 feet of it and a couple of steel hose clamps.
