My boyfriend bought himself a new stereo system for his Supra, so my Yaris got the hand me down Pioneer Premier FH-B800BT. We ordered the dash piece to swap out with the stock one and he installed it yesterday. Unexpectedly though, we have a little bit of excess space to the left and the right of the Pioneer. Any ideas for where we can find something to cover this space with? Otherwise it looks and works great. He also ran the blue tooth microphone up the left side of the car and has it sticking out by the visor where you can't even tell it's there.

My Alpine had gaps like that on the side. I just made black plastic fillers. Or Amazon shows something like this:

I don't know for sure if that fits our dashes, though.
Edit: Found this on eBay. Says it fits a Yaris:

Amazon thinks that will fit my Yaris, so I ordered it and it should get here Wednesday, I'll let you know if it fits and works! Thanks for the tip!

Indeed! Thanks for a great recommendation :) It's funny how much "higher" class I feel in my little Yaris now that I have bluetooth, LOL.

I'm especially impressed with how my boyfriend ran the blue tooth mic up the left side of the car and then poked it out right next to the viser above my head, you'd never the mic hides there unless I pointed it out! But he's spent years doing all sorts of car improvements to his '93 Toyota Supra, so I guess his car knowledge shouldn't surprise me that much, heh.
Next step to make my car feel "high class" will be treating myself to some Clazzio leather seat covers I think... but going to hold off on that until later this year I think, right now have too many other things to worry about money wise.

HA, nice. See, us guys are good for something!
Those Clazzio seat covers look sweet. Everyone that gets them seems to love them. That will really add to the overall car.

Yeah, when I originally ordered my Yaris from the factory I went w/ some perks (power package, cruise control, foglights) but then every thing else I kept more basic like cloth versus leather seats and plastic hubcaps versus proper wheels... because back then I made almost 1/4th of what I now make 4 years later... so now that I can afford a better car and have my Yaris paid off, I'd rather just improve my Yaris and stay not having any car payments, rather than actually getting something new. I think it's a better use of my time and money :)
So next steps:
1) Clazzio Leather Seat Covers
2) Some custom nice looking wheels (because I found custom nice looking wheels for way cheaper than the alloy ones that Toyota sells)

I hear that...
I'm the same way with the income then vs now. Cloth and caps on the S too...
