The white residue on the tires is from the actual mold used to make the tire. It is a grease like substance sprayed in and then the rubber is poured. All is then sealed and heated. The mold lube allows the tire to seperate from the mold. It eventually will wear off. It is a beyotch to get off if you can't wait. I just clean with a APC and treat with Stoners. The wheels get normal wash and LSP is until I get rid of my supply, Megs NXT 2.0 sealant.

Get a tire cleaner and give the tire a good scrub. It shouldn't leave a film. I wouldn't use tire shine often. Tire shine tends to dry rot the side walls of the tire over time with excessive use.

A pressure washer works great at removing anything from the tires.

Pressure washer does well. Just don't get to close with a high power one.....I know.
