It's like every time I turn on the local news the last couple months, I hear of this pointless shit. Honestly, who gives a fuck about the invitations and what the bride's gown will look like? I don't even like going to these things when I'm involved. Just get the damn thing over with quietly and have Willy's balls in a jar above the mantle already!
Sorry, but just had to vent...

It is amazing how many people actually watch this crap. They really believe that people of royality are better than they are.

I'm sick of seeing it on the news. It's just a frickin' wedding. I didn't pay attention to Princess Diana's wedding either.

It's easy for me, I have no TV. I use the Internet for everything and I never click on anything about the royal wedding.

I just saw that it was live on Youtube starting at .... 2 a.m.? !!!! Yeah, right!!!
as to being sick of it, I don't care one way or the other. The media typically takes one event and spins it all f'n day long for weeks and weeks... I'd rather they talk about something like that non-stop, than something utterly depressing. Either way, I don't care a whole lot about Kate and Willy, sorry.

I paid as little attention to it as possible... Up until about five minutes ago when I found out our UK office designed, produced and published the program for the wedding. :drinking:

Ho hum. Americans are no more tired of the Royal wedding than the Brits (or Canadians) are of the endless US elections.

@big lo, it's a form of escapism. <-- is that a word? lol
I mean anyone who watches stuff like that (or Hollywood stuff) does to get away from their own little world for a little while. That's pretty much all it is about for most of the people.
You know I woke up at 2:00 a.m. for some reason, and I remembered that the wedding was on, so I turned on the TV. The ceremony put me right back to sleep, but I did get a really good look at some of the hats and that was kind of fun
that one is kind of stylish, if you're into Haute Couture stuff.

but some others were downright weird and planted on their forehead :iono:
check out this one http://www.nytimes.com/slideshow/2011/04/29/fashion/weddings/royal-hats-9.html
seriously?!!!
Then the ceremony started and that put me to sleep (which was kind of the plan ;)
